Warrior Nation

I would like to congratulate the two Warrior Football teams that participated in this year’s Super Bowl. The Bantam Chiefs played a very good Camarillo team and revenged a loss from earlier in the year 22-14. What a fantastic job the Bantam Chiefs did this year fighting through injuries and adversity.

The Bantam Chiefs showed there toughness as they fought back from being down 14-0. The whole team fought like Warriors as Blake Green and Noah Alvarez sparked the offense and Michael Pittman Jr. wrecked havoc on the Camarillo offense.

The Pee-Wee Warriors were victories with a 6-0 overtime win. Bringing home our second Super Bowl Championship of the day. The Pee-Wee Warriors Played with heart and determination to finish out their season undefeated.

The Pee-Wee game was very exciting even with the lack of scoring. Both teams played very well and hit like a Bantam team. The Pee-Wee Warriors willed there way to a victory! What a great win!!!

With two Super Bowl appearances this past weekend our 24th as a chapter, the warrior program has appeared in more Super Bowls games then any other Chapter. With our 14th Super Bowl victory we have won more super Bowls then any other chapter in the history of the PYFL!

I would like to give a special thank you to all whom where on the Super Bowl committee. What a fantastic job you all have done… This was the best Super Bowl ever! It was an outstanding day and fun had by all….

Would like to thank all the Board Members, Coaches and Team Managers for a job well done! You continue to reinforce the tradition of the Warrior Football Program that has over 40 years of preparing young men for their journey in life….

 Sincerely,
Rett Hicks

 Sincerely,
Rett Hicks

Baseball May Be Our National Pastime, but Football is Santa Clarita’s Sport!

It may be a cliché, but the game of football is a lot like life. Each and everyday, it tests the very core of a player. When you play the game of football you are asked, can I give more than I’ve got? Can I find the courage to conquer the fear? Can I find that one quality that takes me beyond those who are bigger, better, and faster?

The game is rigorous and demanding, requiring players to put themselves on the line for something they believe in…their team. A player may get knocked down, but he will get back up. It may be hard, but he will do it again. The team may lose, but together, they will play another day. If the player invests all that he has, for just one season, to his team and to the game, his dividend will last a lifetime. Most youth football players will never stand in a college end zone or wear a championship ring, but they will leave this experience a better young man.

Football is life…let them embrace it…

The Santa Clarita Valley Warrior Football program founded over 40 years ago came into existence to provide and promote a healthy atmosphere for training the youth of our community in the sport of football. Many of our players go on to any one of the local high schools and contribute to their respective teams. Baltimore Raven starting quarterback and former Hart High standout Kyle Boller played in this very organization for many years.

The SCVAA is a non-profit organization and all coaches and adult personnel are volunteers. Our coaches become involved primarily to share in the experience with the children. They are concerned with promoting safety, teaching the fundamentals of the game, and providing a fun environment. Winning is always secondary to these objectives.

Our organization is committed to providing a safe, healthy and fun place to cultivate the qualities that are inherent in the game of football. We believe that football teaches brotherhood, teamwork, discipline, respect for others and a competitive drive.

Mark Lyon, SCVAA Vice President
